Project Workpackages
The interdisciplinary cooperation of the 13 partners will be coordinated in form of nine work packages (WP):
- WP 1: to get a general idea of the current Europe-wide status of GDM and to meet the challenges/difficulties of uniformed screenings and standardized diagnosis methods
- WP 2: to develop intervention strategies: physical activity, healthy and balanced diet, and Vitamin D
- WP 3: to define the form of data collection of mothers
- WP 4: to define the form of data collection of fetuses and newborns
- WP 5: to carry out and test the "three-pillar-intervention" and to write standard manuals for coaches
- WP 7: to collect reliable data and build up a bio bank, where motherly serum, placental tissue, and cord blood will be analyzed and stored
- WP 8: to disseminate the results and hold workshops to elaborate recommendations for pregnant women
- WP 9: to coordinate and finally manage the project
